The Works
Project: Created and produced an original series of hour-long programs with in-studio music, and roll-in segments on art subjects, as well as dramatic pieces collaborating with California artists.
Detail: Off-beat Emmy award-winning variety show featured music by Ry Cooder, David Lindley, and the Pahinui Brothers; Rosie Flores; the Ventures; Tom Recchion; Suicidal Tendencies. Segments featured Elyse Grinstein’s Kentucky Fried Chicken building; video art by Bruce Yonemoto; host Mary Woronov; drama by the Hittite Empire; profiles of Gronk, Ed Ruscha; the work of Reyner Banham and Mike Davis, more.
